Beginning in 1996, Stanford University graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin built a search engine called “BackRub” that used links to determine the importance of individual web pages. By 1998, they had formalised their work, creating the company that you know today as Google.
These are exciting times in which to develop innovative technologies – and there is no better or more exciting place to do it than in Google. We've made a good start at building our operations here, focusing the majority of our energy on mobile and its limitless possibilities. There is still a great deal to be done. If working on ground-breaking projects with an unconventional, fast-growing technology company appeals to you, then please review our open positions and consider becoming a Googler. |
